Q: 2004 Chevy Suburban - How do you remove and then change the windshield wipers?
The blades don't pull up away from the windshield as in other vehicles.
A: check out autozone.com they have a good help section
Q: Where can I find out what gear ratio is in my rear end of a 2004 chevy suburban?
A: You can check www.cars.com under research or msn auto
Q: whats the biggest run flat tire they make for an 2004 chevy suburban?
A: Waste of money. www.discounttire.com
I say a waste of money because they will go flat, trust me. They simply have a built in metal bracing object in the sidewall which will hold it's shape long enough for you to make it to the tire shop. They also have a built in "glue" on the tire lining tread. Most all tire shops will not fix them because of the mess. The best tire shops are the mom & pop shops because they need the business so bad that they'll fix any tire. Your always upsold when it comes to tires, and they're almost never "fixable" according to the technicians...which is a load of crap. I've worked on tires for 5 years and can fix almost any type of flat, including sidewall punctures.
Q: my speedometer on my 2004 chevy suburban sticks peroidcally what causes this and how can i fix it?
A: Speedometers these days are controlled by an electronic device called a speed sensor. It goes into the transmission where the speedometer cable used to go. Chances are, this is what's wrong. If not, it's in the speedometer head. A technician with a scan tool can easily check this.
Q: Vehicle Repairs on a 2004 Chevy Suburban?
I have a 2004 Chevy Suburban. I'm having some problems with it: I hear a grinding nose up on the right side when I hit about 28 miles per hour. I can have my foot on or off the accelarator and I can still hear it. If I get faster, the grind stops. On occasion, it will make clicking noses when I turn a corner (always driving slowly).
My two front tires are completely bald on the inside tread only, the rest of the tire is fine.
What I've been told is that its probably a 'CV Joint' and wheel berrings. I'll need an allignment and two new tires.
My question (finally, lol): Do you think that is what it really is, and if so, how much will that cost me to have it fixed?!
Thanks so much!! :)
A: The "clicking" noise IS the CV axle. A new CV for that vehicle will probably run about $125 for the part plus labor.
The grinding could be either the hub(sealed wheel bearings), or simply bad brakes. Does the noise change if you apply light pressure to the brake pedal? If the wheel hubs are worn, the relationship between the brake rotor and the brake caliper and pads change, which can cause wear and noise in itself.
The tires worn on the inside could be related to bad hubs(sealed wheel bearings), of it could be simply out of alignment. Either way, once the repairs are performed, you'll need a wheel alignment.
Q: my 2004 chevy suburban has no power at all to the rear air/heating fans. what could be the cause?
A: Check the fuses.
Q: the cost of a chevy 2004 suburban southern comfort package suv?
A: Should cost the same as a regular Suburban LT. In most cases the Suburbans that are up fitted are the cheapest suburbans you can order then they send it off and have it up fitted. The up fit costs depending on whats done as little as $3000 and can go up to $8000 then the dealerships add markup to that. If you can get me the options and miles I should be able to give you a price on it.
Q: will 2004 5 lug Jeep Wrangler wheels fit a 1999 5 lug Chevy Suburban?
A: Nope, jeep wrangler uses a 5 on 4.5 bolt circle while the chevy uses a 5 on 51/4 bolt pattern. If you want wheels for a 5 lug chevy you are stuck with wheels made specifically for a 5 lug chevy as all the other manufacturers do not support their bolt pattern. However the wheels from a wrangler would fit just fine on a Ranger or an Exlporer, or a 2WD Toyota, they would even fit on a Mustang.
Q: ibought a silverado with no factory remote but it has an alarm, can i use another remote to program it and how
remotes from a 2004 chevy suburban
A: I suggest you get a factory replacement bec that is the best in long run , unless you change the whole alarm system.

Q: Is Kelly Blue Book Accurate?
I went to trade in my 2004 Suburban to the Chevy Dealership and they told me that my car was worth THOUSANDS less than the trade in value on KBB.com. They said they use a book called "galves" instead of KBB. My question to you is if the dealer's use Galves for pricing why doesn't KBB use an equivalent value?
A: Galves is the guide just about everyone uses in the Northeast, and many other parts of the country. It is priced so that a dealer can essentially take the car to auction and break even or make a dollar. Understand that Kbb is paid by the number of clicks it gets on their website, they are going to have a much higher value for you car. Galves is by subscription only.
While it's true it is only a guide, some cars may go a couple grand over galves, but some go under galves. Right now in the market we are in, you can't expect to get any book value for your truck, take the lowest value and subtract a thousand. I suspect your truck is going for 1k under galves current trade value.
