The nav dvd cycles even with the engine off overnight inside a garage. I hear the noise like it is trying to engage??

A: Somethings wrong go take it to the dealership, mine shuts off when the door opens.

Q: How do i remove my grill on 2007 chevy suburban? i need to take it off to put in a tranny cooler. Thanks?


A: Vortec; I don't think the grille is held in by screws. If you don't see any, remove the top radiator support cover, (Black). Held on by # 10 metric bolt or plastic retainer. When removed, look down inside the grille. You will see a halve arrow steel clip, (Silver) that locks into a rectangle slot. Use a long heavy screwdriver and push the clip to the outside of the vehicle, while pulling on the grille. Then it will release. There should be 8 clips holding the grille in. When you put the grille back in, make sure the clips start in the rectangle slot before pushing in to relock the clip. Misalignment will break the plastic grille. I hate these grilles.

Q: 2007 Chevy Suburban owners, any car troubles????? HELP.?
So, I'm wondering, anyone else have a 2007 Chevy Suburban and been having troubles??? Every few months (literally) since we bought it brand new it's been having different things malfunction. Keyless entry went out, then there was problems with another thing (can't remember what), the 4 wheel drive has needed servicing a few times, we've had to have the fan belt replaced and now, only a few months later are having to get it replaced again. This sound familiar? Anyone have trouble with theirs? Any other stories of trouble are appreciated so I know we didn't just get a bad car.

A: That's not common for most Suburbans, but they have been having some problems with the new body style. You should just be happy it has a new car warranty.

A: Don't bother with E85. It causes poorer fuel mileage and poor acceleration, so you have to step on the gas harder. It will save you no money at all.

Q: 2007 Suburban CD player HELP ...?
We have a 2007 Chevy Suburban and would like to take the cd player consol out to hook up speakers. We can't get the faceplate off to get behind it. Anyone know how to do this??? Thanks!

A: Well, my wife has an older Suburban, but I have looked at it and will guess it's probably not too far off. Typically, newer cars are more aware of fit and finish, so they find ways to hide every screw and bolt they can. It's a guess mind you, but I'm betting that you are going to have to open the doors. The lower dash will be attached by a few screws on each side, hidden when the doors are closed. once you remove them, you will usually find some more screws under the dash, and even in the glovebox. Once you have all that off, you will probably find the screws for the head unit tucked away. Remove them and it will slide out (depending on how much wire they gave before you have to disconnect them, of course) I've had several cars 1999 and newer, and they've all been a setup like this. My recommendation, either go to a site like crutchfield that offers assistance to do-it-yourself types, or save the headache and pay a local shop.

The dealer owes me a nav radio, installed. They are telling me that the wiring harness in the suburban is bad and production has stopped until it is fixed. I am having trouble beleiving that. Anyone with any info will be greatly appreciated.

A: They are all the same truck. Caddy has a nicer interior, only offers the biggest engine, and costs most. GMC is in the middle with a smaller engine and the big one. Chevy is cheapest and doesnt come with the big engine yet.

Q: The 2007 chevy tahoe?
We just bought it, and now regret trading in our 2003 chevy suburban for it.... The seats are unusually angled and hurt us, The seats are up higher and dont feel right, The steering wheel is really hard, The car itself is to small for us, and we are leaving for our trip tomorrow, and its 8-9 hours long!! We called our dealership and they said they cant get our car back!! So should keep it, trade it in or sell it to car max, and somehow get another car?

A: A vehicle loses at least a couple thousand dollars in value as soon as you drive it off the lot. Your best bet is to take advantage of the buyer's remorse law most states have where you're allowed to return anything in a certain amount of time for a full refund. The dealer will not want to take the vehicle back. You'll have to find out what the law is in your state and make them abide by it. Not even sure if you could be successful without a lawyer. You sold them your old vehicle. There's little hope of getting it back. Although... If "just bought" means a day or two... Your old vehicle might just happen to turn up when they find out you're dead serious about returning the new vehicle and you won't take no for an answer. Sounds like this would mess up your plans for a trip, getting things straightened out and shopping for another vehicle... If you keep the vehicle, you're going to lose at least $2000.00 trading it in though. Possibly more. I would actually guess more. Steering wheels are hard on many new vehicles. Mine took a couple months to break in. You might get used to the seats, but the vehicle's not going to get any bigger...

So the 2007 Suburban and Tahoe's are completely and 100% ugly!! Does anyone else thing that they look like the Ford Excursion and Expedition? Why would Chevy want to copy those? They were Ford's attempt to copy the popular Suburban and Tahoe. Wow....the auto world..all the competition. I wonder how much sales have gone down since the 2007 hit the lots. Actually I guess there are those people who have to have the newest car every year.
