Q: I have a 2003 Chevy Tahoe & 2day my air conditioning just starting blowing hot air. How do I fix? Recharge?
I don't want to spend $200 dollar for someone to tell me all I need to do is recharge my A/C if that's all I need to do. My Tahoe is a 2003 -- is this about the time A/C starts blowing hot air?
A: You could buy a recharge kit and try it yourself... Although, it may leak out... or just about anything else could be wrong and it wouldn't solve your problem. You could get lucky... Are you a generally lucky person? I'm not... It wouldn't work for me... LOL
Refrigerant can slowly leak out over time... Might have a faster leak or other problem though. Did you check all the fuses? Could be that the electronic compressor clutch is not engaging. Don't forget to see if there's a fuse box under your hood too...
EDIT: 2003 isn't that old. Even if you are just low on refrigerant... it shouldn't be leaking that fast. Probably time for a mechanic... sorry... Sealer would only help if a leak was the problem for sure... and the most likely leak would be from a bad compressor which sealer can't fix... Like trying to use radiator sealer when you have a leaky water pump bearing...
Q: What is the right order of the spark plug cables in a 2003 chevy tahoe?
A: You should be able to find the fireing order somwhere in the engine compartment. It's usually on a sticker on top of the radiator area. If you've taken your plug wires off you'll need to find a book on it or see a mechanic to find in what order they go on the distributor or coil pacs. An auto parts store would more than likely help with your problem.
Q: I am buying a 2003 Chevy Tahoe?
I am buying a 2003 tahoe, from a bank after a repo.
It is a LT, and has lots of extras. 80,000 miles and a minor dent on the drivers door, but will need bodyshop work to fix.
The cost in 13K
Do you have any advise for me as far as duriblity and maint. This seems like a great price, what do you think?
I am use to Toyotas but I need a bigger SUV now.
A: I would suggest you go for a 2001 or 2002 Toyota Sequoia. You will be much happier with it over the long haul. These Chevy's are known to have major Transmission problems. You should be able to find a Sequoia with less than 100,000 miles on it for less than $15,000.
Q: How do I replace the front turning signal lightbulb on a 2003 Chevy Tahoe?
A: on top of your headlight there is a metal pin, it is L shaped, remove this pin, the headlight will wiggle out, set the headlight on the core support, look down at the turn signal lens, you'll see a release tab, push it lens will come out, with the lens hanging, wiggle headlight back in, now replace your bulb and put lens back in, make sure you hook the lens on the inside first then just push it in, should take less than 5 minutes
Q: Draining battery in 2003 Chevy Tahoe V8?
I purchased a used 2003 Tahoe in March of this year... We were good till about 1 month ago my truck started not starting, we would have to jump the battery off or charge it to start it. That would last for about 3 or 4 days, and then we would have to start the whole process over again. We bought a new battery this past weekend and it again lasted 3 days and then dead.
What can be causing this? No doors or lights are being left on. I have even made sure that I dont leave my cell phone charger plugged in anymore.
A: I would check the charging sytem first. Take it to a parts store and have them test it for you. then in a dark location make sure the engine compartment light isnt staying on as well as the glove box light, then if the problem still exists you will need to check the system for a draw. This is something that you might want to take to a shop as it can be time consuming and there are certian test proceedures and tools required
Q: What is the difference between a 2000-2003 GMC Yukon and a 2000-2003 Chevy Tahoe?
Which 1 is better??? Does 1 have more power???
A: Just as 'That Gay Guy' said... GMC is to Chevy as Lexus is to Toyota (Acura is to Honda, Lincoln is to Ford, Chrysler is to Dodge).
Almost everything is the same! The frame and drivetrain are identical. The interiors are usually the difference, with the GMC being slightly more upclass (measurements are still the same such as legroom/headroom). The front grille is usually different (may have different headlights), the steering wheel, maybe wheel design. Differences depend on model.
10 years ago the only difference was different badges and steering wheels. Anything you could get on the GMC you could get on the Chev and a slightly cheaper cost.
Q: How easy is it to remove the front bumper of a 2003 Chevy tahoe.?
if it is easy what are the steps ?
Thanks
A: if like most front bumpers, there are about 8 bolts holding it to the froame and supports. If the bumper is straight and hasnt been bent/ crashed then just start taking the bolts out.. All are on backside of bumper, where the dome heads are on the frontside of bumper
If damaged then you might have to pry some to get bolts out and bumper off.
Q: What tools should i use to pull out a 2003 Chevy Tahoe Front Seats?
A: a ratchet would do nicely
Q: I have a 2003 chevy tahoe, I bought Bosch spark plug wires to replace them but since all the wires are the?
same size I took them all out and now I don't know where they go. The wires have numbers on them but there are a few wires that have the same numbers. How do I replace them correctly??
A: I believe you said that the new wires are all the same size? In 2003 the only engine options are the 4.8 5.3 and 6.0 for the Tahoe these engines all have one coil per cylinder, if this is the case than all you need to do is install the wires from each coil directly down to the spark plugs below. If this isn't the case then maybe you have a different year?, with maybe a 5.7 and a distributor?
Q: My 2003 Chevy Tahoe Electric Driver seat wont move forward?
My husband drove my Tahoe and moved the seat back, now I cant get it to move back forward? All the other stuff works, does someone know a quick way to fix this? I am driving with my tip toes and no seat belt... It has done this before but it just started working again so I didn't do anything...
A: There are a couple of plug in connectors by the seat try unplugging them one by one and replugging them in several times but don't touch any seat switches. There could be rust or corrosion in those connectors that feed power to the different seat features or a bad ground wire so look closely and don't worry about plugging them in and out several times also try plugging them back in at a slight bit of an angel it will clean the contacts inside those connectors some what , or actually clean those connectors bec I believe it's simply a bad connection.
Hope that helps and best of luck.By the way you'll see metal at the bottom of the seat look around there for the ground connectors.Merry Xmas
Q: Is it possible to add a 3rd row seat to a 2003 Chevy Tahoe LT edition?
A: You might have to add all the mounting brackets and seatbelts in. Its not as easy as just putting the seat in and bolting it down.
The 3rd row on a Tahoe is too small for anyone but kids under 5 or 6 anyways. If you need more room I would get the Suburban. Its the same vehicle but longer.
Q: I just bought a 2003 chevy tahoe and cannot get the right rear head rest to fold back. Any ideas?
The headreast is to fold backwards to allow the seat to fold flat for storage theleft backseat heasdrest works the one on the rear right does not. Has any one had this experience
? and what is the fix?
Thank you
A: Kick it. Hard. Then punch it. Even harder. Then thwack it. Real hard.
That oughta do the trick matey boy!
Q: What is the best shocks for a 2003 Chevy Tahoe?
A: Ask your local car repare shop/shops, they should have a pretty good answer. I might be able to answer your question, but I would have to know what kind of driving you do. If your on the rode a lot, just put around town, go four wheeling, go to work and back, or anyhting else you might do. Remember, God loves you, and all you have to do is ask for forgivness :)
Q: 2003 Chevy tahoe instrument panel?
My '03 Chevy Tahoe's speedometer starts at 60mph and the oil gauge completely went out 2 months after I purchased this vehicle. Is there a recall on the instrument panels malfunctioning?
A: The correct warranty mileage is 70,000 miles. Chevrolet has sent out letters informing customers. You should call your nearest dealer to find out if your vehicle is involved. Hopefully you are under 70,000 miles. And if you can get it repaired for $150 like the other person answered go for it. In California a replacement cluster goes for around $260 and then you have to have a dealer reprogram it to your vehicle which is probably around another $90 dollars. Hope this helps.
Q: What is the axel ratio for my 2003 chevy tahoe? Original vehicle, never changed anything.?
A: The best and eazy way to find out is to call your local chevy dealers parts dept.Give them the last eight numbers of the VIN and they will give you all the info on your tahoe. No guessing. Best of luck.
