Q: 2005 chevy tahoe lt dvd players in headrests dont uderstand please help?
i bought this 2005 chevy tahoe with dvd players built in the headrests there was no owners manual with car how do i make them play they are very confusing even to get the sound out of the headphones please help me if you know how they operate how do i push the play button or listen to both the movie on the headphones and the radio through the car speakers at the sme time its not letting me do this
A: The DVD player built in the headrest are not factory.Please go to a place like circuit city and have one of the tecs look at your player.Sence they install this type of player they will be able to help you with the operation of your DVD player.Best of luck.
Q: I want to buy 24" Rims for my 2003 Lincoln Navigator from someone who has a 2005 Chevy Tahoe, will they fit..?
I want to buy Rims for my 2003 Navigator from someone who has had them on there 2005 Chevy Tahoe. These rims are the Dub Condo 24". Does anyone know if they will fit my navigator OR how I can find out? Is there any info online I can at?

A: No.... Navi is 6 x 135 and Tahoe is 6 x 139. they're both has different lug patterns. Close but don't fit.
Q: 2005 Chevy Tahoe CD Player?
Does anyone know how to reprogram the CD player in a 2005 Chevy Tahoe? I hit the "Source" button on my steering wheel to go to radio and the entire stereo system went off and came back on. The only problem is that I had to reset the clock and now, the system doesn't recognize that I have a CD player. A CD is stuck in it. Any ideas?
The answer from Scott A worked!!!! I'm so grateful because I live 40 miles from the nearest good Chevy dealership and work 46 miles from home in the other direction. It's NEVER going to be easy for me to take this Tahoe in for service.

A: With the ignition off try to remove the radio fuse for a minimum of 30 seconds. Reinstall the fuse and then turn the ignition on. Then if there is a CD in the player try to eject it or if there was no CD try to load one. If none of this works unfortunately it will have to be sent in from a dealership for repair. But this is one thing you can try.
Q: Chevy Tahoe 2005- keep blowing IGN-E/relays then loose/do i need a new fusebox? dead short??
It was towed to a mechanic who said there was a dead short, and that it was affecting the BCM.W/ it having a security system I was advised to take it to the install place (audio and security). There they said it was a bad BCM - got that replaced.next morning would not start, same no turning over. Back to the place they said that they checked everything could not find anything wrong, checked fuses, replaced battery (for free) and it was running. After that it keeps happening and I have had it looked at by several people (dealership, electrical auto person, mechanics) to no avail. I keep blowing the IGN-E fuse in this 2005 Chevy Tahoe. It is a 10 Amp fuse while driving it will happen-the tachometer will become erratic, the turn signals go out (but hazards work) the air condenser wont blow cold-I then replace the fuse, sometimes need to reposition two relays (the parking lamp, the starter relay) due to them not being tight, then will start. chevy says new fuse box $600+, ???!!!
On three separate occasions they have removed all of the aftermarket items and it was still blowing the fuse. Is there a way to repair the contacts in order for them to make solid connections on the inside of the fuse box?
A: The IGN b fuse feeds everything you mentioned that's going wacky with your truck. (turn signal, a/c relay, starer relay, instrument panel cluster).
I would definitely start by REMOVING the after market (AUTO-START) It is causing the security light to come on , and POSSIBLY causing the short, depending on which starter relay wire they tapped into. once it goes into security mode the vehicle will not start.
Even if the AUTO-START/ALARM is not causing the short, IT IS causing the security codes. ( P1626, B2960,B2961)
Do that first and reevaluate
I would NOT replace the fuse box....
If the fuse continues to blow, then the circuit must be separated, and individually fused.(very involved).

A: The headlight assembly is held in place with two L shaped pins on top of the assembly. Snap each pin out of its lock, turn 90 degrees, and pull straight up. The headlight assembly will then pull straight out far enough to remove the bulb from the rear. Just don't touch the glass on the new bulb, cuz it will leave oil from your fingers and burn out prematurely. (This also allows for EZ access to the daytime running lamp bulbs.)

when i put the truck into 4wd, from the little buttons on the side of steering wheel, i thought the 4wd symbol on the actual dashboard is supposed to light up.? i called dealer and they said there is not light for that on dashboard, but yet there is a symbol on the dashboard and owners manual states that too. any ideas would be helpful.

your fuel pump module in the tank has a filter, no replacement necessary as per GM.

A: I have a 2006, and looking at the back seats from the back door there are 3 small latches that you pull, one is on the back of seat, the second is the bottom of the seat, and the third is under the seat once you lift the seat up.

A: they are 2 pistons or also called struts one on each side of the lift gate they have gon bad when you open the door it probably doesn't stay open by itself either its the long rods that go from the side of the truck to the liftgate

A: It could be just a bad ground. you might check for loose wires or battery cables, see if in good condition
