Q: How to replace cabin air filter on 2006 Chevy Tahoe?
I have found instructions for 2001-2003 but it seems to be differetnt on the 2006. I can pull the kick panel off but I see no place where the cabin filter may be. No screws, no hinges, etc...
A: They are usually in the glove box compartment

A: The Z71 was a limited edition package made for only a short time. It comes closest to the LT but has a couple differences. The Z71 comes with Bilstein shocks and the Z71 emblems.
So, in answer to your question, it is neither an LT or an LS.

A: If the mirror glass is broken you can buy a replacement mirror from the chevy dealers parts dept.If the mirror its self is broken you can remove the inside cover and remove the three 10mm nuts to remove the whole mirror.Best of luck.

recently my oil gauge went thru the roof. The gauge pointer looks as if it could spin multiple times around if not for the stopper. They say I have to pay for the diagnostic before they do anything and it might not be covered because it could be an oil line what should I do?
A: Read your warranty first. All of this is in there somewhere. An oil line will not do this as I am assuming you are talking about an oil cooler line. These will not affect how your oil pressure is doing unless they are leaking so much that your motor does not have enough oil in it to produce any pressure. You are either having an oil pressure transducer internal problem, a wiring problem, or a fault inside the cluster. If the warranty covers sensors, wiring, or instrument cluster/modules then you have no worries. I would ask the dealer to explain what you have and don't have before you get going. Diagnostics are always part of figuring out what is wrong with something, but this should be included in the repair, so if warranty covers the part it should also cover the diagnosis. Sounds like you are dealing with a pissy kind of dealership and should go elsewhere anyways. Good luck.

A: THE rims will not increase tow capacity if you want to tow more weight try putting heavier leafsprings on it

have any of you had a problem with a chevy tahoe or suburban, with a year range of 2001 to 2006?? the 1999 had many problems, what about the newer ones?
A: I own a 2001 Suburban LT with 53k miles. Only problem I have had was with the pulley belt tensioner went bad. Bought a new one at Autozone $30, fixed the problem.
Tahoe's are nearly the same price as suburbans, and suburbans have much more cargo space.

A: The Honda Civic is one of the best cars out there. The Chevy Tahoe is probably better then the Honda Passport (not by much) because the Honda Passport was really an Isuzu Rodeo (which wasn't a great vehicle to begin with)
The Maxima is a good car, but Nissan went through a rough patch in the late 90's and early 2000's. Their cars were good, but they weren't built as well as a comparable Honda or Toyota.
You've got a broad spectrum of vehicles here. Decide if you really need an SUV.
The Civic is a great car. Out of all the ones you listed, I'd go with that. Then the Maxima, then the Passport, then the Tahoe.

A: Gas cap. I bet the gas cap wasn't tightened all the way. Then, he filled it up and put the cap back on properly. It takes a few minutes sometimes for the error to clear. Just a thought.
