Both vehicles fill this family's needs/wants & are equally equipped , but the 'Ford Motor Credit' deal is lowering their currant payment by over $100 a month.
You gotta do whats right for you.
Full Size SUV's in the same price range...there aren't that many to compare. Take your time to drive them all. 3 or 4 test drives should'nt take too long.
But unless you are paying cash, you should compare also the finance 'deals' that are out there. Also check out pre-owned.
You might just find a 1 year old, low mileage, loaded Tahoe on a Ford lot. & save a bundle of $$$ ( our lot has 4 currantly)
Pre-owned doesn't nessasarily mean bad vehicle, some times it just means $ sense.

I was considering switching from OEM 17-inch wheels on my 2007 Tahoe to 20-inch OEM wheels. Using an on-line tire size calculator, the circumference difference is about 1%. Is the computer/speedo different in a Tahoe shipped with 17 inch wheels versus a Tahoe shipped with 20 inch wheels or is it close enough that GM keeps the computer/speedo the same for either wheel size option?
A: They are not the same.You will need to have the service dept recalabrate the new size tires to the BCM of your tahoe. They will also have to recalabrate the onboard tire pressure system of the new wheels. Best of luck.

A: Just finshed a 5 month stent working at for National/Alamo as a shuttle driver in Philadelphia,Pa. The biggest thing we rented were Durangos, Jeep Commanders, and a shipment of new Cadillac SRX's & a rare Hummer H2. None of our rivals ( Hertz, Budget, Avis, Dollar, Thrifty) as far as I know Carry the Escalade or Tahoe. A Limo firm generally carries the stretch only. I'd try a Caddy dealer in your area about a rental. Remember these are $50K trucks, we just don't hand the keys with out some serious $$. I'd tell you to vist National and try the Commander Or Durango if size is the thing. The SRX for style.

A: You have two types of security features. You have the 'theft deterrant' which works with your ignition key and ignition switch. If they don't match up to what the body computer says they should be the vehicle won't start. The other is the 'content theft deterrant' and has to do with someone opening the doors, causing the alarm to sound. When this one is set the security light should start blinking after about 30 seconds. It doesn't blink for the first one. To set the CTD you have to lock the doors with your remote or when you get out of your truck, press the power lock switch and close the door. Give it 30 seconds and it should set. If your windows are down and someone reaches in and unlocks it and opens the door the alarm should go off. Manually locking the doors will not set the CTD. Hope this helps.

i have a pioneer avic n-1 and i wanted to install it on my 2007 tahoe but i wanted to know if it will affect my onstar system and does any body have a manuel on how to remove the stereo please let me know i realy need the information. thanks.
A: The radio in chevys controls alot of things now. Chances are, if you get a different radio, they will have to leave the factory unit in tact under the dash because some of the computer components are tied into the radio. I am not positive about the Tahoe, but my onstar is in the mirror. I ripped it out anyway, it's just a ploy for the government to track you disguised as a safety feature anyway. Nextel 411 offers the same service on a per use basis.

Q: has anyone had any problems with the Throttle Position Sensor for a 2007 chevy tahoe?
A: gonna have to be more specific. the '07 model uses electronic throttle, including an accelerator position sensor and a TAC module which controls the throttle body. might want to check for excessive carbon buildup in the throttle body and on the throttle blade. they no longer have IAC valves because it's computer controlled, so that's one less thing you have to look for. best of luck. it's probably something you'll want a dealership to look at.
