Q: Lost Both sets of keys for my 2002 chevy trailblazer.. any way i can get a new copy?
I lost both sets for my 2002 chevy trailblazer and i cant find the spare. The AAA guy said that i might need the key pad lock thing to even be able to make a new set. What can i do to get another key?
A: Any chevy dealer can replace your lost keys.Take proof of ownership with you to your local chevy dealers parts dept. This is the best and cheapest way to replace your keys.Best of luck.
Q: Can I change front brakes\rotors on 2002 chevy trailblazer?
Haven't looked, but is there anything special like bleeding brakes? I have changed pads and rotors on my 97 pontiac sunfire and it was really simple. Anything special about this 2002 trailblazer? It is the LT which is the full sized version.
Thanks
A: Nope it will be the same as the Sunfire take calipers off besure to have something to keep the piston back on the calipers and the rotors should come off... If you have questions get a Haynes manual from Auto zone or any other parts store and look in there. Book costs about 25 i think but its the best investment you can ever buy shows you how to work on the whole vehicle to tune ups to engine rebuilds.
Q: I have a 2002 chevy trailblazer. How much can I expect to pay for the 100K mile checkup and is it necessary?
We bought the car used with around 20K miles on it and have religiously changed the oil every 5K miles. But, that's all we've done with it. It has had no formal mileage checkups at a dealer.
Thanks in advance for your answers.
A: No such interval for 100k service, find a friend with alldata or mitchell on demand and print out the k services. You already missed the first three....30K, 60K, and 90K. I would strongly suggest getting the 90k done and whatever you missed on the 30 and 60k's. Figure around 500-800 dollars and yes you should get this done if you want the vehicle to last.
Q: Where is the rear heater core located in a 2002 Chevy trailblazer?
Also, what is involved in replacing this?
A: in the very rear on pass side. you have to remove all the plastic trim in rear and 3rd row seat
Q: Why was the temperature gage on my wife's 2002 Chevy Trailblazer acting weird this morning on her way to work
Its a 4-wheel drive with a 6-cylinder engine. She called me and told me it would go all the way to the red mark in the hot zone and then all the way to the bottom of the cold zone and kept doing it all the way to work.
A: I would suspect that you have a leak in your cooling system. Low fluid level will cause steam in the block and you temp sensor can not interpret steam Thus erratic temp gauge movement. Alternate theory: loose connection at temp sensor. Have your cooling system looked at and be safe. If your wife drives the car, better to be on the safe side than to leave her stranded.
Q: How do i know the 4x4 is engaged on my 2002 Chevy Trailblazer?
There was a light above the switch knob that flashed 3 times as i switched from 2hi to AWD to 4hi to 4lo. Recently the light went out. Im not sure if it's the bulb thats out or If i need to get it serviced. There is no indication from the dashboard (ie: service 4x4 light) that something is wrong with the 4x4. We just had a nice little snowstorm here and i want to know if i should have my 4x4 serviced or if it's just an inexpensive light bulb that needs to be replaced. I tried to use 4hi and AWD in the snow, it felt like my wheels were losing grip, is it just me or is the 4x4 not working?
A: It could not be engaging. I thought I read somewhere that there were problems with some earlier models with which the 4 wheel drive was not engaging. But it could just be a light. To me it seems something worth going to the dealer for.
Q: How do I change the spark plugs in my 2002 Chevy Trailblazer?
My boyfriend and i would like to change the spark plugs our self and I was just wondering where they are located
A: you never mentioned the engine size.
The inline 5cyl and 6cyl engines have the spark plugs located on the valve cover....UNDERNEATH the coils. This is a coil-on-plug system.......one coil per spark plug.
Q: How to re-charge air conditioning system on a 2002 chevy trailblazer?
I bought this do-it-yourself kit, but I can not seem to see where I insert the refrigerant. Anyone have a picture of where it goes? I read the instructions and I do not see what it describes. So hopefully someone who has actually worked on and seen this on my vehicle can help out.
Thanks
A: It is usually on the accumulator (big silver can on firewall) on Chev trucks. They sometimes have a plastic cover that has to be removed. Don't overfill as that can cause expensive damage.
Q: I am considering buying a 2002 chevy trailblazer from my dad so i know its been serviced well, and im getting?
a really good deal on it. as far as trailblazers go, give me the pros and cons of this suv? thanks
im talking about the functionality of the car, i dont need life advice on dealing with friends and family.
A: I have owned a 2002 and I currently own a 2007 trailblazer. I love it!! The gas mileage isn't bad for an suv. I get about 20 mpg city and highway with my commute. It works great for any traveling we do. Plenty of room for our family. It has a great smooth drive and did I mention I LOVE it! I would definately recommend it to you.
Q: I own a 2002 Chevy Trailblazer. When i go to start my vehicle, it wont turn over..?
The battery doesn't seem dead. You dont even hear the starter clicking.
A: You need to provide more info. Do you have lights/radio? If so, your battery may not be dead, but too weak to start the starter motor.
It could also be the starter has gone, or more likely, the starter solenoid has gone since you don't hear any clicks. You could try tapping on the starter solenoid when someone else turns the key to see if you can coax the solenoid to energize.
I would verify the battery is not the culprit before I start looking at replacing the starter, just to be sure to rule out the easier fix. Otherwise, you may be looking at replacing the starter, which is a relatively easy job to replace if you have tools and any mechanical ability. Just be sure to disconnect the battery before you start the replacement of the starter if you do it yourself!
IF the battery is good, and the starter is good, you are now looking at more unusual problems like an open between the battery and the starter.
Q: How do I remove the headlights from a 2002 Chevy Trailblazer?
A: WHEN YOU OPEN THE HOOD, LOOK AT THE SPACE BETWEEN THE BACK OF THE HEADLIGHT HOUSING AND THE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT...YOU SHOULD SEE TWO PLASTIC OR METAL RETAINING TABS THAT YOU WILL HAVE TO PULL UP ON TO RELEASE THE HEADLIGHT FROM ITS WELL...ONCE YOU RELEASE THE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY FROM ITS WELL YOU CAN THEN REMOVE THE BULBS FROM THE BACK OF THE ASSEMBLY BY TURNING THE SOCKETS COUNTER-CLOCK WISE...UNPLUG THE OLD BULBS, POP IN THE NEW ONES AND REASSEMBLE...IF YOU HAVE TOO MUCH TROUBLE,GO TO AUTOZONE.COM...THERE IS A REPAIR SECTION AT THAT SITE...IF YOU TYPE IN YOUR YEAR,MAKE AND MODEL, YOU CAN GET STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS AS WELL AS ILLUSTRATIONS...IT'S REALLY NOT THAT HARD TO DO...GOOD LUCK.
