They are telling me about $969.00 is this right?

Q: How do you jack up a 2006 Chevy Trailblazer?
The manual says that the cup on the jack should cradle the rear axle but there is a stabilizer bar on this vehicle that runs the entire length of the axle. The stabilizer bar is in the way.

A: Slide a floor jack under the center of the differential housing an raise it up. For safety purposes always open up a set of jack-stands at each end of the axle housing.

It has regular srvice a good transmission and fairly low mileage. It only occurs when using the gas pedal

A: could be many things, If it only happens when accelerating well its more then like the belt or idler pully.

A: Open the glove box, look at the small sticker that is covered in three digit codes. Near the top, you will see "AUO," if the vehicle DID come with keyless entry. If not, the code will not appear on the sticker.

we have a 2006 chevy trailblazer ext and its a piece of JUNK! its out of warranty and the frame seems to be possibly shifting??? is this possible like maybe bending or somthing?? thanks

A: i had mine lemon lawed & got all my payments back.. Along w/a mulititude of other problems, my check engine light was always on. i went to chevy service 3 times for repair and by the 3rd time, w/engine light still on, i filed w/state. You'll need to send copies of the repair attempts & it has to be repairs on the same specific problem...

Q: chevy trailblazer,2006.when I fill up my take the neddle reads empty , it take 45 min for the neddle to move?
I have tried filling up with car turned on and turned off, get the same result, after the neddle registers, when the tank does get half empty . the neddle starts again to register improperly.. whats wrong

A: same thing happens on my ford, a guy told me to back up and then pull foward and stop, the float sticks in the tank, and this will make it move, works for me,

Ok. So I have found a 2006 trailblazer for a nice price that is still under factory warranty. I want to know how people like these vehicles and how many problems they have encountered with it. I also saw that there are 3 recalls in place for the vehicle and I want to know what should i do to find out if this car is affected by it. Serious Answers Please

A: If you will email me the Vin I can check the recalls for you. I can also tell you this I sale them and have 2 2008 2wd trailblazers with 10000 miles GM certified for sale at $15500 plus tax and tag. So a 2006 should be less than that. If they have 20000 miles should be less than $12000. The demand on them is way down.

A: Probably the Volvo 850 would win. It would depend on the engine. It is probably not the best idea to try finding out, unless a professional driver on a closed course.

A: Trailblazer should have a Class III Tow hitch giving the receiver opening to be 2".

Q: I have a 2006 Chevy Trailblazer that of , the windows won't roll down, the driver door will not lock/unlock.
The driver door will not respond to shifting or the keyless remote, and the none of the windows will roll down, and also the dome lights will not come on when the doors are open, only manually.

A: All these concerns are related and are symptoms of a bad drivers door module. (switch) The door module has to be replaced, and programmed. Hope you're still under factory warranty. 3 years 36 thousand miles.

A: 24" mate! When trucks are concerned - bigger is better...unless you're planning on lots of 'off-road' driving, in which case go for the 22s!

Q: 2006 Chevy Trailblazer issues?
I have had my 2006 Trailblazer for just over a month. Bought it brand new...end of the year sale. Overall, I am very happy with it. But problems we are having are the following: wind noise, passenger side window won't roll up when car is moving (electric windows and once we stop and roll it down and back up it will go all the way up), the glove box sticks and won't close (the car was cold and once the cab warmed up I heard a pop and was able to close the glove box) and finally, the wiper fluid for the back window doesn't work. I know I'll take it back to the dealership and they will fix the wiper fluid issue, but I'm thinking the other problems are inherent to the vehicle. Anyone else have these same problems, or any suggestions?

A: wind noise, aka the whistle you hear is coming from the exterior side mirrors, mine did that. I had issues with the windows also, they'd stop about 1/2" short of the top and I'd have to zip them back down some and then back up to make them go all the way up. Check with the dealer to have the CPU tested for issues or have the glass re-aligned for a better fit when up, all under warranty. Glovebox issues sounds like either a bad locking mechanism or mis-aligned. Again, should fall under warranty. Back washer....sure you have the reservoir filled? It does not feed from the front one but has its own. I would sniff the entire truck over really well and make a list of every last complaint you have. Then drop it off for all the repairs as they should all fall under warranty, as its clearly still within its bumper to bumper warranty. Get all the glitches fixed. GM hasn't been the best build (put together) car for awhile. That is why they are lagging so bad in sales now....people got sick of the poor work. Now they are forced to import Opel cars from their UK division in attempts to save themselves. The new Chevy Impala and all the new Saturn cars are all imported Opels. Even the new Saturn coupe and Pontiac coupe are both the Opel GT. Even the Cadillac Caterra was an Opel. Opel is a far supperior product than Chevy, Pontiac, Saturn, Buick or even Caddy. If they were smart...they would shut down all USA divisions and import their Holden (from australia, where the Pontiac GTO came from) and their Opel divisions. Then they could actually compete with Honda and Toyota.

Put gas in and it says its empty and then the emission light comes on.

A: What you have is a faulty fuel level sensor. and YES it will set a check engine light. CODE (P0462 or P0463) Hope you're still under factory warranty. 3YRS. 36000 MILES. or extended warranty.
