Q: Where is the iPod "AUX" jack on the 2008 Chevy Trailblazer?
I am borrowing my brother's new 2008 Trailblazer (same as Envoy). It's the "middle" model with leather and moonroof but doesn't have memory seat, heated seat or power passenger seat.
Anyway, there is clearly an aux button on the radio, but I can't figure out where to plug in the iPod. Where is the jack??? Just about every car has one these days and with the AUX on the button I can't imagine GM would not have one too and be behind the curve.
A: it should be around the stereo.
Q: 20 inch rims for 2008 Chevy Trailblazer 1LT 4wd?
I want to change the factory rims on my 2008 Trailblazer but don't want to mess with the dynamics of the car. Can I change to 17 inch aftermarket rims and keep the same factory tires on the car? Can I increase to 18 inch rims and tires? Or can I go to 20 inch rims and tires? Should I have the dealer install the new ones or take it some place else? Please help. Thanks
A: changing the wheel size will always change the dynamics of a vehicle. larger wheels and tire increase the unstrung weight on the suspension and braking. a lot of people find out that the ride of the vehicle becomes stiffer, caused by larger wheels with lower profile tires. most people don't get larger brake rotors and calipers, causing increase of braking distance. anything over 20 inch wheels, the vehicle has less weight capacity. any good tire shop can do this work for you
Q: Will my organ fit in a 2008 Nissan Pathfinder or 2008 Chevy Trailblazer?
I'm renting a vehicle to pick up an organ i purchased which is located a few hours out of town and all they have left are SUVs. I'm wondering if the organ will fit in the cargo area of a 2008 Nissian Pathfinder or 2008 Chevy Trailblazer? The dimensions of the organ are: 48" wide, 24" deep, and 39" high. I will obviously be lying it down so i need the cargo loading area to be at least 48" wide and 24" high (assuming I am loading it on top of the folded down seats, I'm not sure if they come out?). Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.
PS. In case anyone doesn't know what I mean by organ, here's a picture of one which is similar..

A: Get a van and transport it upright. Organs don't travel well on their backs. You can cause damage by trasporting it laying down. It will not fit upright in either of the vehicles you mention.
Q: I just fiananced a 2008 chevy trailblazer 2 months ago 8.90 interest rate l.Can i negotiate another contract ?
A: I hope you got it used the book is terrible on the 2008 Trailblazers. I am selling a 2008 Lt with 11000 miles for $16500. If you owe more than the trailblazer books for the banks are less likely to refinance you. I would talk to a local bank or credit union and they might be able to help you out. You can negotiate with the current loan company you have a signed deal with them why would they change it now?

Q: 2008 Ford Explorer vs 2008 Chevy Trailblazer?
About to buy one of the two above SUVs - base models but 4x4 V6. Any opinions or advice as to which to pick?
A: go with chevy on this, fuel economy and power is so much better.
Q: 2008 Chevy Trailblazer 1LT sways while driving?
I just installed 20 inch wheels on my Trailblazer. I immediately felt the difference in driving (swaying). It feels different. I took the vehicle to the dealer for a checkup but the dealer said everything was fine. It was just the weight of the wheels affecting the dynamics. I didn't need a wheel alignment since it's not pulling to the side so my truck was released. I feel there is something I can do to fix this condition. I don't think everyone who puts bigger wheels on their SUV feels this swaying. What can I do or install to remedy this? I put 275/45/20. The original tires were 245/65/17. Any suggestions? Thanks
Yes, it is the wider tires, everyone keeps telling me this but how do I correct it from swaying?
A: its the wider tires.
Q: 2008 Chevy Trailblazer?
Anybody have any complaints about the car? or positive feed back? My girlfriend is getting one and I just want to be prepared... thx
A: I HAVE A 2007 AND I LOVE IT! SO I BET THE 2008 IS EVEN BETTER!
Q: 2008 Trailblazer owners! Can you please help me?
I just bought a used 2008 Chevy Trailblazer with the 4.2 6 cylinder engine. I was showing it to a guy friend of mine and he was looking under the hood and said i had a problem! He said that there is a hose clamp missing from the air intake towards the air filter box. It has a clamp on the engine side of the hose but not the other end, I looked at it and to me it looks like it is made that way as the other end of the hose has these little things sticking up all around it so a clamp won't fit anyway . Please look at your engine and see if it looks like mine, and if posible post a link to a picture of your engine, thanks.
A: I would take it back to the dealer.
You should not have to worry about such trivial issues, on a brand new vehicle.....
Q: Chevy dropping the Trailblazer SS?
I'm really interested in getting a Trailblazer SS. I just heard Chevy is discontinuing it after the 2008 model year. Does anyone know if this is true and why?
A: Chevy Trailblazer is to be built through 2010 model year but I am unsure of what is specifically happening with the SS model. That engine is awesome though. Sounds great and revs super fast.
Q: Help! I peed in my best friends car?
Ok, so I was at my friend's house and I really had to pee, so I tried to find the bathroom, but I ended up in the garage and I really had to go so I opened the door to his 2008 Chevy Trailblazer and peed all inside, then shut the door. What should I do now? Should I tell him or just run away?
A: Are you serious?? Be a MAN and take responsibility for your actions.
Q: Deployment of side curtain airbags?
We were cut off by a driver near a toll plaza on the Florida Turnpike. My husband being a former police officer kicked in his defensive driving and swerved to the left and bumped a small median that divided the north and southbound lanes. The side curtain airbags deployed and hit me in the shoulder and him in the neck. We were stunned that this happened. Now here is the fun..We were in a rental vehicle from Enterprise, a 2008 Chevy Trailblazer with 260 miles on it. My mom had recently passed away and we were on our way to her apartment to clean out belongings. We were able to pull into a safe spot and called Enterprise immediately. They sent a wrecker who advised us to take pictures-there was absolutely no damage to the vehicle. He flatbedded the vehicle and gave us a ride to mom's. The next day Enterprise gave us another vehicle. We arrived home, returned the vehicle and paid the bill. The fun then began.
A: Side airbags are designed to protect an occupant's head and/or neck from striking objects inside or outside the vehicle in the event of a side impact crash.
Because of the small amount of space between an occupant's head and the side of the vehicle, these airbags must deploy very quickly to cushion the occupant from any intruding vehicle or object such as a tree.
Sensors detect when a crash is severe enough for deployment. Some curtain side airbags may stay inflated longer to protect occupants in rollover crashes. Allowing the airbags to remain inflated or triggering their deployment during a rollover can help prevent full or partial ejection of occupants.
Q: I got a chevy equinox 2008 for christmas..it's my first car ever...is this ok?
I am 20 yrs old...a college student, and my dad surprised me trading in his trailblazer for an equinox and giving it to me. I am new to this of cars...all i know is to drive..and GO...
I study upstate NY..where there is alot of snow...cold...etc
Do you think that this is a good first car for me?? I always expected a car..not an SUV...is this ok?
A: Nice car, way to go Dad!
Here is the best advice, don't be ignorant and whip out the owners manual when you are taking a break from studying and read it!
You might be surprised with the wealth of information in that little book.
OH! And by the way, don't think that just because you have an SUV you can drive faster in the snow than anybody else, that 4wheel drive can put you in a ditch or worse if you aren't extra careful.
Q: GMAC Leasing Question?
I leased a 2004 Chevy Trailblazer and the lease ends in March 2008. There is an offer now that if you lease another vehicle you get a 6 month waive of you current lease payments. That offer would leave me with one payment left. Would it be stupid to do that and then on top of that pay more for a new lease or just stick to the 2004 lease for now until it comes up in March? Your help would be greatly appreciated since the Pull Ahead Deal ends today.
A: If they are going to waive the last 6 payments and you can get a new car now, go for it. You can either finish paying for this car, turn it in 6 months from now and get a different car or you can turn it in now and get a new lease now.
Q: I have a question about buying a car again, I will explain this one a little better. Please help.?
I am looking at getting a newer model Chevy Trailblazer, main thing I am looking for is it coming with leather seats and the whole interior to be black. I say newer model, meaning 2007 or 2008. I make 400 to 500 a week, my goal for this car would be to get rims on it, paint it, and put in system, with all that said, could I afford it? I do not pay rent, only things I pay for are gas and my car, food of course but I eat at home a lot. The aftermarket parts are going to run me about six or seven thousand over time. Can I afford this? If you have any questions, feel free to email me because I would like to know all the details of how I should go about doing this. Dtmorris223@yahoo.com is my email.
A: No......you can't afford it................
