Hi. Today while i was cleaning i hear my car alarm going off and i have no idea why. its not shutting off UNLESS i keep my car started and when i take the key out it starts back up, and lights flash. will not turn off. Why??? So i asked a neighbor and he didnt know so he just unhooked a wire but my lights still go on bc the alarm is going off but is silent and then so my horn wont work. Its night now and a neighbor came over to tell me my lights were on. (bc the alarm is still going off but silent) I dont know what to do i am going crazy here. My battery is going to die and i have 4 kids to take care of and take to school, ect... My husband is over seas and im by myself with 4 kids and i dont know what to do! Please help me what do i do, or what is going on:-( Im freaking out. ITS A 2006 CHEVY UPLANDER

A: Disconnect the battery to keep it from dying on you. You will need an 8mm or a 5/16" wrench. Remove the bolt (turn it counter-clockwise) attaching the black cable to the battery. Make sure you then move the cable away so it cannot contact the battery terminal. This will shut down all electrical to the car. You should contact a Chevy dealer soon as they open in the AM.

Q: I'm looking to buy a used 2006 Buick Terraza?
Anybody with an opinion...is it a good, reliable vehicle? I drive a Chevy Venture now. I test drove the Uplander but didn't like it.

A: My best friend and his wife bought a 2006 Buick terraza CXL.They like there SUV to a point but have several issues with it.One is the MPG numbers that are 17 city and 23 hwy.One of the other issues is the plastic interior make lots of noise while driving and when the weather gets colder it gets louder. They say the engine runs well with its 3.5 liter V-6.The other issue is the front brake rotors warp really fast and they have replaced the rotors twice in 35.000 miles. They both said they would not recommend there terraza to friends or other family members. Best of luck.

Q: What do I need to tow my 2006 Front Wheel Drive Chevy Uplander behind my RV?

A: Get a tow dolly from uhaul

Q: Chevy uplander 5000 RPM?
Every time I turn my A/C on in my chevy uplander, it jumps up to 5100 RPMs. This is a 2006 LT edition. AWD 3.5

A: You should call your local Chevy dealers service dept and tell them what your uplander is doing. This is not normal. There is a good chance there is a factory bulletin out on this problem. This sounds like some type of a electrical issue in the ac wiring.Best of luck with your uplander.

Q: Please diagnose my van!?
I have a 2006 chevy uplander with 65000 miles on it. I just ran to the store and as I was starting to pull into the driveway, my steering wheel seemed to go dead stick on me. Then there was a squeaky belt type sound. It then came back to life and I pulled into the driveway and parked, no problem. We have a family of 6, and I am a teacher, so must have transportation, cannot afford to be without it, but don't have a bunch of money to fix it, either. Please help:) Thanks.

A: Check to make sure you have enough fluid first. If fluid is okay, sounds like the power steering pump may have gotten stuck for a brief period. It's hard to diagnose the problem unless it can be duplicated. It's certainly not the best thing to happen, but if the P.S. pump goes out, you'll still be able to steer. It'll just be difficult to steer. I don't know how it's configured right off hand, but a replacement should be no more than $400.

Q: Should I buy a used (2006) Chevy Uplander, price is $12000 Canadian?
